The “Agricultural Adjuvant Market: Global Industry Trends, Share, Size, Growth, Opportunity and Forecast 2021-2026” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

The global agricultural adjuvant market reached a value of US$ 3.4 Billion in 2020

The agricultural adjuvant market is currently being catalyzed by a rise in agrochemical demand and an increasing importance for precision farming.

An agricultural adjuvant refers to any substance that improves the efficiency of pesticides, including but not limited to insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and other agents that control or eliminate unsolicited pests. Like medical adjuvant, agriculture adjuvant isn’t directly responsible for controlling or eliminating pests. These additives instead enable the pesticides to target, penetrate or protect the organism by modifying a particular property of the spray solution.

Surfactants, oils, salts and emulsifiers are amongst some of the commonly used ingredients in a spray. Each of these ingredients enable the spray solution to enhance their properties like penetration, spreading, droplet size and more. Sometimes these additives are incorporated in the formulation with a pesticide. While other times, these are added distinctly to a tank.

Adjuvant can be divided into two parts; at first, In-can adjuvant refers to adjuvant which are incorporated in the pesticide formulations themselves. When these are added distinctly, as and when the spray solution is made, the adjuvant is called tank mix adjuvant. The addition of these tank mix adjuvant can sometimes optimize the performance of the pesticide.

With the introduction of agricultural processes like commercial farming and contract farming, the global agricultural adjuvant market is expected to witness a significant growth in the forecasted years.

Additionally, protected agriculture practices are anticipated to further fuel the market. Moreover, surfactants, oils, salts and emulsifiers are indispensable for effective crop production, hence they can uplift the market growth as well. Herbicides, fungicides and insecticides are also gaining traction because of its utility and function, which remains a key factor for the agricultural market as the demand for crop protection chemicals is increasing.

In addition, farmers are now more aware about various agrochemicals and advanced farming equipment. Looking forward, the publisher expects the global agricultural adjuvant market to exhibit moderate growth during the next five years.

The competitive landscape of the market has also been examined with some of the key players being Akzo Nobel N.V., Croda International PLC, The DOW Chemical Company, Evonik Industries Ag, Solvay, Huntsman International LLC, Nufarm Limited, Helena Chemical Company, Wilbur-Ellis Holdings, Inc., and Brandt.
